Welcome to the website for A.C.T, a national Auricular Acupuncture Training Company established in 2000. A.C.T delivers training in ‘The 5 Point Detox Protocol’ ear acupuncture.
ACT’s Directors/Trainers; Carole and Janine have over 30 years of combined experience in the related fields of Acupuncture, Health and Social Care, Addiction and Training.
Carole and Janine guarantee that:
“We only train professionals who work in the specialist field of addiction. The ‘Certificate of Competence’ we issue is fully recognised and accepted by all major insurance companies. Our unique approach and delivery ensures that those trained by ACT are safe and confident practitioners. Our commitment to maintaining and promoting the highest professional standards is assured.”
“Our courses are tailored to give participants the time and structured support to maximise their training experience and success. Our input continues way beyond the training course as we offer on-going telephone and on-line support for all our members.”
Courses can be held on an ‘in-house’ basis at participants’ work premises, or in the beautiful historic city of York where our training venue is only a 10 minute walk from the railway station. Additionally, York is easily accessible by road and rail with lots of accommodation and restaurants.”
ACT’s unparalleled reputation is directly linked to our ability to successfully meet our customers’ training needs; both for competitive quotes and comprehensive quality. ACT’s members also benefit from discounted insurance.
ACT is part of an Auricular Acupuncture Voluntary Regulatory Working Group along with other major providers of Auricular Acupuncture training (NADA, EAR, SSA, Acu-Detox). As a group we are working towards Voluntary Self-Regulation and are applying to the Prince’s Foundation of Integrated Health (PFIH) to be our regulator.
Please see www.macrwg.org for more information.
*One of the basic principles underlying the work of the PFIH is ‘Accepting that the public has a right to expect healthcare services to be provided by appropriately educated, safe, competent and regulated practitioners.’ (‘Setting the Agenda for the Future’ PFIH, May 2003) *
