Nili Brown
Nili qualified as a Registered Acupuncturist 11 years ago. She has worked in private practice in England and Israel and has specialised in pain management. For the past 3 years Nili has been employed as a Drug Worker and has successfully combined psychosocial interventions and acupuncture treatment. Nili is currently in the final year of a Degree in Addiction Studies at Leeds University.
Kathryn Lievesley
Kathryn has a degree in Sociology, a Masters in Social Work and a Diploma in Addiction Studies. Kathryn has worked with problem drug and alcohol users for the past 6 years; her experience spans criminal justice, needle exchange & drop-in and young people. Kathryn trained as an Auricular Acupuncturist 4 years ago and has used this in her work since. Kathryn is currently the manager of York Alcohol Advice Service.
Allan Short
Allan has nearly 30 years experience within the Police Service. Since leaving in 2001 Allan has chosen to specialise in the field of substance misuse and addiction and has worked across Tiers 2, 3 & 4. Allan was trained in Auricular Acupuncture in 2003 and has incorporated this into his work with substance misusers. Allan is currently working with a Housing Association to support vulnerable tenants to remain within the community.
