Training courses are delivered ‘in-house’ at your place of work. Courses are held over 2 consecutive days and can be held over a weekend if required.
ACT’s training programme is unique in that it allows for a period of consolidation and assimiliation of new learning prior to the assessment element.
Participants are given between 2 to 4 weeks to familarise and safely practise their needling technique prior to using it in their workplace.
Having completed the assimiliation period, all participants must undergo a formal assessment lasting approximately 30 minutes.Upon successful completion of ACT’s Assessment Process, participants are issued with a ‘Certificate of Competence’. This confirms that the participant has achieved the ACT’s nationally recognised standards of practice. This entitles the participant to become registered as a member of ACT to obtain benefits including insurance.
As part of ACT’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme and to promote best practice members are assessed annually. This enables members to benefit from face-to-face support and supervision.
To demonstrate our commitment to best practice the Annual Assessment is now a required element for members to comply with ACT’s Codes of Practice and Ethics.
ACT’s ‘Certificate of Competence’ is fully transferable and recognised by all major insurance companies. When changing employment it is not necessary to do a ‘conversion’ course as members will continue to receive annual assessments from ACT and remain on the ACT Register.
As part of ACT’s audit process, candidates will be asked to complete post-training evaluation forms.
